- GREETINGS FROM DAMASCUS
Well, the Magnesia Bank show was a huge success. We had to contend with unexpected technical problems, i.e We had a mad panic to get the p.a system working, then had to limp through with only one monitor. It didn't affect things though, we still had a great night, like we always do at The Maggy Bank.
We rehearsed six new songs especially for these forthcoming gigs, five of them covers and one original song we wrote a couple of years ago, but have only played a handful of times at acoustic gigs. The song is Evangeline, and is sounding very nice with the full electric band.
Next up is The Mill House on 13th. This is a lovely, small and intimate venue and so often we play here and think it's going to be a quiet night, and then it fills up quickly and we have a really enjoyable time. Hope it's the same again this time.
After a year or so away, we return to The Tyne on the 20th (4pm) We played our very first gig here, and it's always been a very special venue to us. The acoustics are superb, the bar, atmosphere, audience, the lot. So we always try and put on the best possible show here, and this will be no exception.
There's a few other shows to be confirmed, and the best place to find out what we're up to is by checking into this site.
We're always looking for quality gigs to do, the full band, three piece or two piece acoustic, so if you want to book us, please send an email to blindingmusic@hotmail.com
We'll also do house gigs (as two piece acoustic)
Come down and see the band if you can. We've introduced some new covers, although we don't want to give much away, one of them is a Robert Palmer song that ZZ Top had a hit with! We're also re-introducing some of our favourite songs that we have wrote but not really played much 'live'
Hope to see you at a show soon... KEEP MUSIC LIVE!
